A North Yorkshire hotel’s annual music and beer festival has raised £1,800 for a charity that is seeking to bring its support services to the Dales.
The three-day event, staged at the White Bear Hotel in Masham, concluded with a quiz in aid of health and wellbeing charity, the Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
Over the last two years this Midlands-based organisation has been providing suicide prevention services and services for those bereaved by suicide, and it is now looking to launch a similar service in North Yorkshire.
Sue Thomas, General Manager of the T&R Theakston Ltd-owned White Bear Hotel, said:
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported our annual beer and music festival.
This was the sixteenth year running we have staged this event, and thanks to the superb weather, fantastic beers, great food and wonderful musicians, it was the best ever.
And for the first time we held a charity quiz to round the festival off. It was a roaring success and the proceeds from are now going to help Kaleidoscope Plus Group launch their services in this part of the world.
