Harrogate is about to see a new restaurant opening in the town centre.
scran is part of the Yorkshire Hotel and will formally open its doors on Monday. The Yorkshire Hotel is now part of the HRH Group, a company that has an expanding portfolio of venues, including the Fat Badger and White Hart.
scran gets its name from a slang word for food, originally from the Royal Navy, but now something more used in the North.
They have invested in scran, the first part of a development of The Yorkshire Hotel, getting Dean Sowden on board as Executive Chef – Dean will be known for many for the highly successful Deanos.
The development will revitalise the bar offering of the hotel, with menus being tailored for both lunch and dinner guests or for those that want a smaller bite with a drink.
Tonight will see a VIP Reception launch party and bookings are now being taken.
