Members of the action groups Keep Green Hammerton Green and Keep Kirk Hammerton Green hand delivered 582 objection forms on behalf of villagers to Harrogate Borough Council’s office ahead of the deadline for comments about the Draft Local Plan.

We felt the process for making comment was unnecessarily complex, especially on-line, so we held surgeries to help people fill in the response forms.
We have had a resounding number of people objecting to the Draft Local Plan and in particular the over development of our respective villages, especially the potential 3000-house settlement.
