The area near to the church is currently flooded, with water being directed away from the church and homes using sandbags, boarding and anything else they can find.
Harrogate Borough Council and the Fire Service are in attendance.
The problem is believed to be caused by the volume of water and tunnel, under the church carpark, being blocked.
