A highly popular sports training camp is returning to Harrogate’s Ashville College this month (August).
The Netball Fever Academy will take place on Tuesday, August 8 for three days, and will have a guest coach appearance from a current or ex-international player.
Previous years the likes of Nat Haythornthwaite, Olivia Murphy and Emma Dovey have been on hand to train and inspire youngsters at the Netball Fever Camp.
The as-yet-to-be-confirmed star will pass on coaching tips to help the girls improve their game, and, during their visit, they will participate in a question and answer session, sign autographs and pose for photographs with the young attendees.
Anna Rakusen-Guy, Ashville Trading Events and Lettings Manager, said:
We are delighted to welcome this camp back to our sports facilities. It is always hugely popular with girls from across the whole district.
The training camp offers young participants an invaluable opportunity to improve their game and in recent years we have had some fantastic guest appearances by top players.
We have invested heavily in our sports facilities and this September will see the official opening of our revamped sports centre, which has had nearly £4m spent on it.
Once work is completed, the centre will boast a much larger gymnasium, a new dance studio and nine new changing facilities.
This investment will deliver an outstanding facility for not only our pupils, but the local community too.
