New starters at Vital Technology Group to support continued growth

13 July 2017

Vital Technology Group, the Wetherby-based provider of business IT services, has recruited two new members of staff to help support its plans for further growth.

Will Brayson has joined Vital’s award-winning IT apprenticeship scheme, while Max Butterfield brings with him three years’ experience as a web designer.

Over the next year Will Brayson, 21, will divide his time between Vital’s offices, in Audby Lane, and specialist IT college QA, in central Leeds.

In the office he will gain hands-on experience of Vital’s client helpdesk as well as on-site installations, while at QA he will work towards gaining industry recognised qualifications from Microsoft and CompTIA.

The 21-year-old lives in Garforth and attended Garforth Academy where he gained an NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering. In his spare time he plays cricket for Garforth Parish Church.

Max is 19 and lives in Ilkley having attended the town’s grammar school. He will concentrate on front-end web development for clients such as Ring Automotive and Arnold Laver.

Lee Evans, managing director of Vital Technology Group, said: I’d like to welcome Will and Max to the Vital team who’ve both arrived at a really exciting time as we continue to grow, and their individual skill sets will help us further expand.

The appointments come on the back of Vital being named employer of the year for the Yorkshire and North East region in the FSB & Worldpay UK Business Awards.

In 2014 and 2011 Vital won the Small Business Apprentice of the Year Award for Yorkshire and the Humber Region, and which saw the company being named a UK top 100 Apprentice Employer by the National Apprenticeship Service and City & Guilds.
