Furnish & Fettle, a luxury Yorkshire-based interior design company, has celebrated its first year in business – a period of rapid transformation which has involved the acquisition of James Brindley’s interior design division (which went into liquidation earlier this year) saving many local jobs, plus a re-brand and opening of their two showrooms in Wetherby and Harrogate.
Glyn Goddard, co-owner said: We are celebrating a really good year in which we have achieved far more than we ever thought possible.
We are really proud to have preserved a large number of jobs in the local area after James Brindley’s closed down and would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and dedication to Furnish & Fettle.
We feel very lucky to have a great team of experts and some wonderful customers who have supported us and put their trust in us over the past year.
The Furnish & Fettle story began in June 2016 when husband and wife team Eleanor and Glyn Goddard opened their first Furnish & Fettle showroom on Wetherby High Street having taken over the Wetherby branch of James Brindley.
This was followed 8 months later by their acquisition of the interior design division of James Brindley’s of Harrogate, shortly before the long-standing business went into liquidation.
Glyn said: We have had a fantastic first year in business, and to celebrate, we held a big barbecue with all our staff and their families to celebrate and say thank you.
Our success is very much a team effort and we are all very excited to see what next year has in store for us.
