Harrogate Town slipped to a disappointing 1-0 defeat, in an evenly fought match at the Thameside Stadium, Manchester.
Tom Platt came back to replace the suspended,Lewis Turner and Lloyd Kerry replaced Chib Chilaka.
Curzon made a bright start with Adam Morgan testing Chris Elliott with a vicious drive and James Baillie ballooned the ball over the bar when well placed.
Next,Niall Cummins was sent clear by a lob into the area, only for him to be denied by Elliott’s excellent save.
Town began to hit back, with an Andi Thanoj drive just skimming the crossbar and then Kerry forced Cameron Mason to turn his low shot round the post.
Early in the second half, home skipper,Alex Brown rattled the Town bar from twentyfive yards with Elliott well beaten.
The decisive moment of the game arrived after sixtytwo minutes, when after a series of Curzon crosses,Brown turned and shot low into the far corner.
Chilaka and Jack Emmett replaced Warren Burrell and Joe Colbeck, as Town looked for a way to unlock the Curzon defence.
Emmett began to cause problems down the right flank and Platt pushed forward to head his corner over the bar,and then Chilaka was thwarted by a last ditch tackle from Jonathan Hunt as Town pushed for an equaliser.
For the last fifteen minutes,Louie Swain, who had an fine game down the left flank, was replaced by Ben Parker.
As the minutes ticked away,Chilaka shot wide from a Joe Leesley header into the area and then Emmett hit the bar from another Leesley centre, but unfortunately,Jon Paul Pittman headed the rebound wide of the goal.
Deep into stoppage time,Town suffered another blow when Thanoj was red carded for a second bookable offence.
