The Yorkshire Cancer Centre’s 20th anniversary Ball (24 September 2016) was a huge success and raised £43,650 at Pavilions of Harrogate.
Over 300 guests were welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by a scrumptious meal, cabaret entertainment, 2 fabulous auctions, a grand Raffle, early morning bacon buttie and dancing to Dominic Halpin & the Honey B’s Swing Band.
Appeal Director, Sheila O’Shea said:
The Ball committee and I are thrilled with this fantastic fundraising result which will help to fund the £160k NanoKnife. This revolutionary cancer treatment system is a new technology that gives a treatment option to those patients with inoperable cancers and for those patients who are not suitable for conventional therapies. NanoKnife has the potential to prolong survival and provide a good quality of life.
