Police were contacted at 10am on Saturday 27 August 2016 regarding reports of a 88-year-old man who had been involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Mokka on Station Parade outside the bus station.
The incident was near to the crossing point at Subway/ Dixy Chicken and not the junction near to the entrance to the bus station.
The man sustained head injuries in the incident that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing at the moment and any witnesses are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and speak to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference 12160155403.
