Joseph Ferraro Hair announces a vote of total confidence as one of the hairdressing elite.
Today is a good news day for Jenny Addyman at Joseph Ferraro Hair in Harrogate as she stands tall over a vast industry of 245,745 professional UK hairdressers who work in just 35,000 hairdressing salons.
Named by Hairdressers Journal International’s British Hairdressing Business Awards as one of six to be short-listed for the Junior of the Year award, Jenny now has a rite of passage to contend for the ultimate title at the grand final to be held at the Lancaster London Hotel. It is here, on 12 September 2016, Jenny will find out if she can lay claim to being the ultimate junior of the year.
Joseph Ferraro, owner, said:
Showing that we are a serious business contender is important for us, we are naturally known for our creativity as hairdressers, but the art of commerce is key to any successful business and I am delighted for Jenny to be recognised by HJ’s award system in this way.
It’s a great hair day for Jenny and our team to shine within such a massive industry and also to be able to fly the flag of excellence for Harrogate.
The final word goes to Hairdressers Journal International’s executive director Jayne Lewis-Orr:
It is a great honour to have juniors like Jenny within the industry, he is setting a new benchmark for other salon juniors to follow. It is because of businesses like this and juniors like Jenny that the UK hairdressing industry retains its position as the most highly esteemed in the world.
British hairdressing is one of this country’s most positive business messages and of that we are incredibly proud. The future looks incredibly bright as this recession resistant sector forecasts women’s haircare product sales alone to grow 9% to reach £1.51 billion by 2020*. In the hands of these phenomenal business thinkers we can see why.
