Aldi will open the doors to its new Harrogate store on Thursday 21 July at 8.00am, with a special golden ticket event.
To celebrate the opening, Aldi will be handing out golden envelopes to the first 100 people in the queue, each containing a prize. Lucky customers will be in with the chance of winning variety of prizes including a 40” HD Smart TV, 10.1” Tablet PC, Garmin NUVI 56 Sat Nav, 10” Portable DVD Player.
The store will be officially opened by a Team GB athlete and Store Manager, Matthew Washbrook.
The store will be also handing out free bacon and sausage sandwiches, as well as tea and coffee for customers to enjoy throughout the morning.
The store has created nearly 30 jobs in the local area.
Shoppers will benefit from over 132 car parking spaces and can expect to choose around 1,400 product lines at the store, including fresh produce and a wide range of weekly ‘Specialbuys’. ‘Specialbuys’ occur every Thursday and Sunday and offer customers a range of products from gardening products to electrical items.
The Harrogate store will be hosting a luxury cheese and wine tasting event on Friday 26 August, giving the local community an opportunity to sample Aldi’s award winning wine range. In conjunction with the store opening, Aldi also sponsored the Great Yorkshire Show Programme.

The store is located on Oak Beck Road, Harrogate, near to B&Q and Pets at Home.
