Two van loads of donations left Harrogate today, one heading for York and the other to Tadcaster flood victims.
Alice Brooke-Thwaites put an appeal out on Facebook for donations of food, clothing and electrical equipment. Many people responded to her request and she had filled the ground floor of her house.
Today Pennngtons and Vanman deliveries took them to York and Tadcaster. Tadcaster had asked for mainly electrical items and York food and clothing.
Alice said:
The support has been amazing and virtually filled the downstairs of my house, but I am pleased to have the space back and am pleased to have the space back!
I would like to thank all those that have made donations and the van delivery guys who have given their time for free.
