Raworths, the Harrogate law firm, visited Byland Ward this week at Harrogate District Hospital to deliver Christmas decorations, a tea set, games and a Santa’s sack of presents for patients who will be staying in hospital over Christmas.
The initiative is part of Raworths Responds which is a team of staff from the Harrogate law firm who go into the local community and take on a challenge. This year, the special task force has made Christmas a brighter occasion for those elderly patients in the town’s local hospital who are not well enough to be at home with friends and family.
The team challenged the staff at Raworths to provide over 50 suitable presents for the patients on Byland and these were delivered on Monday to Ward Manager Louise Harrison by partner Jonathan Mortimer, Erwin Shakaj and Sarah Beecher.
Jonathan Mortimer said:
Raworths Responds is a new initiative which brings many like-minded staff who want to help to the local community in a hands-on manner. We are keen to find new projects where we can get involved.
