A quiz and auction night organised by RNIB Tate House was a huge success after raising £2384.89. All the money raised on the night will buy new furniture for residents living with sight loss.
Held at Harrogate Town Football Ground, 80 people had their knowledge and courage put to the test, as people took part in bidding for prizes and competing to be the winning team.
All prizes and auction items were donated by a number of local organisations.
Sean Atkinson-Maury, RNIB Tate House Manager, said:
I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported us, donated prizes, and to everyone involved who helped make the night such a success, and the venue was great.
Our residents will now have lovely new furniture for the communal lounges, just in time for Christmas!
