A 29-year-old man from Thirsk has been charged with attempted murder and theft.
Police found an elderly man with serious injuries at The Flatts in Sowerby,Thirsk at around 8.20pm on Thursday 5 November 2015.
The 85-year-old local man was taken to James Cook hospital where he remains in a critical condition
The individual charged appeared at Northallerton Magistrates Court today – Monday 9 November 2015.
