Mike Cattermole, consultant to Media Point and James Hutchinson, managing director of Ripon Racecourse, at the official launch of the course’s new 40msq LED screen at Saturday’s (26 September 2015) meeting.
The screen, designed and built by Media Point, replaces UK racing’s first ever large LED screen installed at Ripon 13 years ago with work on the project being completed in just three days.
James Hutchinson comments:
The visual quality of the new screen is incredible. The colour, picture quality and clarity of images close to and from a distance are fantastic. This quality is matched by the flexibility and ease of Media Point’s screen management software which will allow us to expand and continually update what we show on the screen, as well as looking at generating an additional income stream with commercial advertising.
As in all businesses, the quality of customer experience has become an ever more important role in maintaining and improving racegoer numbers. Such developments as this are an important part of achieving this.
In addition to this, Ripon has placed an order for a 12sqm mobile screen from Media Point to improve the customer experience in the parade ring area.
