Police received a report of a suspicious package at Monks Cross shopping Centre in York at 10.10am today, Wednesday 12 August 2015.
As a precaution and to ensure the safety of the public, a cordon has been put in place and shops have been evacuated.
Officers are conducting a full search of the area.
