Pannal Sports Junior FC is celebrating after receiving a £300 donation from the MARS Milk Play Fund.
Pannal Sports is a well-established football club set to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. Made up of 400 boys and girls of different age groups the club has 12 teams. Last season, one team saw its hard work and determination pay off when it won the Harrogate and District cup final. And a further boys team finished as league runners up. However, the teams recognise that being part of a football club is not all about winning and therefore adopts an all-inclusive policy, welcoming players of all abilities.
Wayne Barker, a coach at Pannal Sports, said:
This donation from the MARS Milk Play Fund couldn’t have come at a better time. We can now purchase some new shirts for the next season, which we haven’t been able to do for years!
