Harrogate Town AFC have announced that they signed former Bradford City and Bradford (Park Avenue) right winger Joe Colbeck.
Joe, 28, joined his home club Bradford City in 2002 as a youth player. Two years later he made his debut for the first team against Notts County in the League Cup. Over a five year period he went on to make 116 appearances (8 goals). A short loan spell at Darlington in 2007 saw Joe make another 6 appearances at the Quakers with another 2 goals scored.
Leaving Bradford City in September 2009, Joe joined League One side Oldham Athletic for an undisclosed fee. A season later and he had another 28 appearances and a single goal to add to his total.
Another move occurred at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season when Joe linked up with Hereford United. Over two campaigns, he played 80 times and managed to bag another 6 goals.
June 2012 saw him sign a two year contract with Grimsby Town as they looked to gain promotion back into the football league. During his time at the Mariners, Joe made another 85 appearances and weighed in with 5 goals.
His final move, before joining town, was to return back to his home town when he joined our Conference North rivals Bradford (Park Avenue) for the start of last season. Joe finished the campaign with another good haul of 38 games under his belt and scored 2 goals to take his total to 24 for his career.
