Appeal following serious collision on B1224 (near to Wetherby Services)

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision on the B1224.

The collision occurred at around 1.30pm on Monday 8 June on the Sandbeck approach near Wetherby Services.

There were two vehicles involved in the collision, a white Chrysler and a blue BMW. The passenger in the Chrysler, a 77 year old woman from Pateley Bridge, sustained critical injuries in the collision and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where she remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 79 year old man from Pateley Bridge, was also taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

The driver of the BMW, a 61 year old man from the Durham area was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with minor injuries.
