A 60-year-old man who was arrested on 13 May 2014 on suspicion of murdering Claudia Lawrence has today – 17 November 2014 – been released from his bail.
The 46-year-old man arrested on 23 July 2014 on suspicion of perverting the course of justice remains on police bail.
Significant enquiries continue to be made into the circumstances surrounding Claudia’s disappearance in March 2009 and there remains the possibility that further arrests in this case will be made.
A spokesman for the investigation said: This remains a live investigation with new lines of enquiry being actively pursued. It is therefore extremely important that the media and the public do not publish or broadcast anything on traditional media platforms or on social and digital sites that could compromise the investigation or the legal rights of those connected to, or involved in, the case.
