Emergency services are at the scene of a collision on the A59, Boroughbridge Road near Upper Poppleton in York which involves two lorries and a car.
The crash was reported at 10.20am today (Thursday 6 November 2014).
One of the lorries has overturned and is carrying around 200 live pigs.
The road is currently closed and diversions put in place while emergency services deal with the incident.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
