It has been a very successful season for Harrogate Grammar School’s senior football team, who ended their school career beating King James in the Area Cup comfortably with a 4-0 win at Rossett.
They also won the County League cup against Richmond School 3-0 completing a memorable double.
The team displayed fantastic discipline to overcome a passionate King James side. Kristian Hanson produced some outstanding saves within the match to keep his fifth clean sheet of the season.
The man of the match performance goes to Ben Weiss. Not only did he score the vital first goal with a timely arrival at the back post but his assured, Italianesque defending, ensured Harrogate Grammar were always on the front foot.
The Harrogate Grammar School management team, Mr Ash and Mr Lee concluded: the senior football team is not arrogant in their desire to play football on the ground, just better.
They fully deserve their double-winning season and have been a pleasure to work with.
It is their character and composure that has ensured a memorable season for all involved.
