Best wishes to the people involved for a speedy recovery.
A suggestion to the reporter who wrote this article… instead of:
“Two cyclists have been injured following a serious collision with a livestock carrier”
write instead
“Two people cycling have been injured following a serious collision that involved a livestock carrier”
That way you acknowledge people are people not pigeon-holed based on which mode of transport they chose, and secondly to remove any implied comment on who crashed into whom (that is subject to a police investigation).
Best wishes,
~Andrew~
