McCormicks Solicitors has appointed a former senior journalist as a Legal Assistant.
Brian Nuttney was formerly Deputy Editor of the Yorkshire Evening Post and prior to that of the Telegraph & Argus in Bradford.
He completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law/University of Law, York, and received his law degree before joining the Harrogate-based law firm.
Brian, who lives in York, aims to specialise in Commercial Dispute Resolution, Commercial Litigation and Company Law but will gain experience in a variety of departments at McCormicks.
His first contact with the firm was through the Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards, of which the Yorkshire Evening Post is a sponsor, and when he opted for a career change, he was looking for a role which would encompass problem solving.
McCormicks has enjoyed another year of record recognition in the leading Guides to the legal profession, with a total of 28 recommendations in the UK Legal 500 and Chambers UK for areas of law and 39 for individual solicitors.
And how is this regarded as news?
