Harrogate PR agency, Acceleris, has launched in London as part of its next phase of growth and development.
The agency has opened offices on Regent Street and appointed Sophie Sweerts (pictured) as a business development executive.
Sophie has experience working with major luxury brands in the travel, sports, fashion, motoring and property sectors.
Acceleris works for clients in the public, private and third sectors, including many which have their main offices in London.
Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport said: We always said that we wouldn’t open in London to be just another PR and Communications agency among so many but would only do so if we saw opportunities aligned to some of the sectors where we have particular experience and expertise.
Those areas include property, planning, construction and motoring as well as with charities, national trade organisations and professional services. We are delighted to welcome Sophie into the team, particularly as she has experience and contacts in some of the sectors on which we will initially be focussing.
We have always regarded ourselves as a national agency based in Yorkshire and we already work for a number of large national and international clients. However, with the improving economy, which is particular evident in London, we felt the time was right to establish a physical presence there.
Acceleris has started 2014 with a string of new business wins, including an appointment by Severfield-Rowen plc, the UK’s leading structural steel business whose projects include the London Olympic Stadium, The Shard, Wimbledon Centre Court and the Leeds Arena.
Sophie added: It’s an exciting time to be joining Acceleris and I am looking forward to working with the team to help grow the agency in London.
