Acting on behalf of Keyland Developments, agents DTZ and Sanderson Weatherall have completed the sale of the former Ironbridge reservoir site on Cornwall Road, Harrogate to Linden Homes North.
The site, which adjoins the prestigious Duchy area to the north of the town centre, has the benefit of outline planning for residential development. Linden is proposing to build 30 luxury family homes on the 10 acre site which will also provide 20 apartments.
DTZ Director, Phil Roebuck commented: This is a magnificent development site which offers the opportunity to create a high quality natural extension to the Duchy Estate.
Peter Garrett, Managing Director of Keyland Developments said: We have worked long and hard with the Council and Duchy residents to ensure an appropriate reuse of this excellent redundant brownfield site and are delighted with the outcome.
Ian Hessay, Managing Director of Linden Homes North added: We are excited at the prospect of delivering some very special homes in this exceptional location.
Mary Kirk of Wrigley Solicitors acted for Keyland in the transaction. Linden was represented by Stephen Glass of Bond Dickinson.
How many affordable homes will be included on this site?
What research has HBC done to prove that 30 luxury homes are what is required in Harrogate, more the need for social housing but being a Tory council, this is not an option apparently.
Affordable housing will all be built on the proposed green sites around harrogate!!!
