Detectives investigating after a man was injured confronting an intruder in the back garden of his home in York have released an E-Fit image of a suspect they are looking for in connection with the incident.
The victim suffered two broken ribs in the incident which occurred at his house on Horseman Lane, Copmanthorpe, at around 9am on Friday 6 December 2013.
Since an earlier public appeal officers have received a number of calls with information and are hopeful that the E-Fit will further jog people’s memories.
The suspect is described as white, aged in is late teens or early 20s, around 5ft 10in tall, with a stocky build, dark hair and a distinctive mono-brow.
He was wearing a dark grey hooded-top, jeans and white trainers.
Detective Constable Kevin Goodman, of York CID, said:
If you recognise the man in the image, I urge you to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
I would also like to remind residents to remain vigilant at this time and report any suspicious behaviour to the police.
