A social enterprise that provides business support services to fund skills training for people with disabilities in North and West Yorkshire has been awarded a £20,000 grant to support growth.
The funding from Santander’s Social Enterprise Development Awards will be used to buy new equipment for Paperworks’ two workshops in Leeds and Harrogate. It will also be used for website development to allow orders to be processed online.
Paperworks has been operating in Harrogate for 18 years and opened a second site in Leeds last year after identifying a need in the city for its tailored work preparation training programmes.
Its print finishing, fulfilment and mailing services for, businesses across the UK ,provides training and work experience placements for adults with learning and physical disabilities, sensory impairment or mental health related support needs.

Santander’s 2013 Social Enterprise Development Awards saw a further fourteen awards given to social enterprises in the North of England.
