Harrogate police have arrested two men following a disturbance in Dalby Avenue last night (19 August 2013).
The men were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after entering a house in the street at around 9pm.
The men left the house after being challenged by the occupants. No-one was injured during the incident.
A 22-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident at around 9.40pm and another man, aged 21, was arrested on the morning of Tuesday 20 August 2013. Both men are from the Boroughbridge area and remain in police custody for questioning.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident including the movements of a silver car and its occupants which was seen in the street at the time and believed to be connected to the incident.
They would also like to hear from anyone else who witnessed the disturbance or saw any suspicious activity beforehand.
Officers would like to reassure residents in the area that they are confident the incident is an isolated one and that the wider community were not at risk.
