Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision at Arkendale, near Knaresborough.

The collision involving a Suzuki motorbike and a Citroen C1 occurred on the slip road from the A59 onto the A168 at around 10.45am today (9 August 2013).
The motorcyclist suffered significant injuries in the collision and is being treated at the scene by paramedics.
The A168 has been closed to allow the air ambulance to land,
It is anticipated that the road will remain closed for some time, while officers conduct their investigation into the collision.
Any witnesses to the incident are urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
