Harrogate Polo Club has announced that they have reached an agreement with Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs to play Polo on land at Littlethorpe Farm between Harrogate and Ripon.
Polo Club Chairman Alan Williams said:
This is a great occasion for the Club; it is something we have been working towards since we started. James Potter of Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs and I were introduced through a mutual friend and Sponsor of the Club Andy Wray of AVA Physiotherapy.
It all happened so quickly and we are pleased to be moving forward with James and Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs.
There is still a lot of work to do but it means we can now direct our own destiny and dates for matches. It also means we can start planning for next year, which will include regular events and a Summer Ball.
The main pitch will be seeded and made ready for next year, but there is adjacent land where we are looking to get a couple of games in this year.
On behalf of the Club I would like to take this opportunity to thank James and everyone at Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs for all their efforts and hard work and we are pleased that Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs will become a Premier Sponsor of the Club.
When we announce our first dates we would like to ask everyone in Harrogate & district to come along, bring a picnic and enjoy what will be a fabulous day out.
James Potter of Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs added:
We are looking forward to working with the Polo Club in bringing the sport of Polo to Harrogate and the surrounding areas, it’s a fantastic concept, and we will work hard together in taking the Club forward.
As a Company and as individuals all at Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs are proud to be associated with the Polo Club
The Club is still on the lookout for players and volunteers so if anyone is interested please contact Alan on 0787 928 1207
