The respected BBC journalist, Jeremy Bowen has been forced to cancel his appearance in Harrogate on Sunday 14 July 2013.
He was wounded with shotgun pellets to the head while covering the unrest in Egypt and only today underwent surgery.
The war correspondent was due to talk about his career as part of the Harrogate International Festivals series.
It’s expected that the appearance will be re-scheduled.
