On the evening of 17 June 2013, Harrogate and Knaresborough had a heightened level of police activity as they searched for a missing woman.
There was concern for the safety of the woman and this prompted support from the West Yorkshire air support helicopter, over parts of Harrogate.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said:
Police were called shortly before 5pm on Monday 17 June 2013, following a report that a 47-year-old Harrogate woman was missing from her home address.
Following a search of the local area, involving officers on foot and air support from the National Police Air Service, the woman was located on Hookstone Road, at 11.15pm, the same day.
