Why are the police publishing these locations when it means people will slow down when they know the cameras are being sited there? Surely catching someone “in the act” by surprise is a much better deterrent? Use of stealth and randomising these locations would be better.
They are in stealth!
I’ve just had an NIP for doing 77 on an over take near the A64 Seamer by-pass. The wife and I saw nothing at all so the NIP was a shock when it came in the post today.
Fair enough I was speeding to over take the tard in front who kept randomly hitting the brakes for no reason at all, but still, if they’re going to advertise and they’re going to do this they should be visible! It’s high profile policing that gets people to slow down, hiding is just underhand revenue generation!
