The general manager of one of Harrogate’s best-known car servicing businesses has stepped up a gear and become its new managing director.
Phil Sunman – who has more than 30-years experience in the motor trade – has taken over the reins at Drivestyle Autoservice Centre and Drivestyle Horseless Carriages, which is based at Pannal Business Park.
The business was launched a decade ago by Steve Williams, who was the first dealer to introduce Dutch super car, Spyker, to the UK. In addition to importing Spykers, Steve launched the country’s first dating agency for cars, Drivestyle Connections.
Steve said:
Over the last decade Drivestyle has developed and grown into the successful business it is today. We were initially located at Hornbeam Park and moved to Pannal Business Park two years ago.
Phil, whom I have known since he first came into the motor trade more than 30 years ago, joined me at Drivestyle in 2011. He has been a major factor in Drivestyle’s success, and I’m delighted he is now becoming its MD.
Having Phil in pole position will allow me concentrate on a number of new and existing ventures which will heavily involve Phil and the Drivestyle team.”
Phil said:
Drivestyle Autocentre and Drivestyle Horseless Carriages are well known brand in the Harrogate area and I’m thrilled to be in the driving seat.
Last month, we serviced just short of 100 vehicles, mostly sports and prestige models, which was a record for us.
There are some very exciting times ahead of us and very soon we will be announcing major programme of investment in new, state-of-the-art equipment.
