York police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man died at York racecourse.
The incident, which is not being treated as suspicious, occurred at around 5.30pm on Saturday 25 May 2013, when the man fell from the Knavesmire Stand.
The 21-year-old man from Bradford, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The Police are not yet in a position to release any further details.
Inspector Charlotte Bloxham, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:
Although we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances and are treating the death as a tragic accident, I am appealing to anyone who was in the Knavesmire Stand at the time to contact the police.
Anyone with information about the incident us asked to contact York police on 101, select option 1 and pass the details to the Force Control Room.
