At around 5pm this evening (20 May 2013) a moped collided into the side of a lorry on the Skipton Road in Harrogate, at the junction of Dragon Parade.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the road was closed west-bound for around 30 minutes as the middle aged man was attended to by ambulance staff, before being transferred to hospital.
The condition of the man is not currently clear.
Updated 21 May 2013 at 12:10 – it has been confirmed the man involved suffered a fractured leg in the incident.
