Police were called at around 8.30pm on Monday 29 April 2013 after reports that a man had entered a property on Spring Hill in Tadcaster carrying a machete.
Armed response officers attended the scene and arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary at around 12.30am on Tuesday 30 April 2013.
The man was compliant as he left the property and nobody was injured in the incident.
The 22-year-old local man has this evening (Tue 30 April 2013) been charged with aggravated burglary.
He is remanded in custody and will appear at York Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, Wed 1 May.
