Police have now named the man who died as the result of a road traffic collision near Pateley Bridge, which occurred at 10.40am on Wednesday 24 April 2013.
He was Peter Parchment, who was aged 49 and from the Nottingham area.
The inquest was opened and adjourned in Harrogate on Thursday 25 April 2013.
