On Tuesday (19 February 2013), Harrogate CID – with support from West Yorkshire Police – arrested two 40-year-old men from Bradford in connection with three burglaries on Vernon Road and Ashgarth Court between 2 and 9 February 2013.
Warrants were executed at the addresses in Bradford and various items of jewellery, watches and other goods such as suitcases and CDs were recovered by the police that are believed to have been stolen.
The arrested men have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
To support the investigation, officers are appealing to residents in North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire to look at photographs of the goods so they can be safely returned to the rightful owners.
Detective Constable Chris Spackman, of York CID, said:
The investigation is progressing well and we are doing everything we can to secure justice for the burglary victims.
Importantly, we also need to reunite a number of other suspected stolen jewellery, watches and other items with their owners.
If residents in North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire recognise any of the items from the photographs we have placed in the media and on the North Yorkshire Police Facebook page , please get in touch as soon as possible.
