160 Scouts from North Yorkshire spent the last weekend camping out, despite the winter weather at Thornthwaite Scout Activity Centre near Pateley Bridge.
During the weekend, they all took part in many activities, including abseiling, crate stacking, archery, mountain biking and climbing, to name just a few.
This year, an additional activity was available – snowball fights!
The attendees consisted of boys and girls aged between 10 and 18 from the Scout and Explorer Scout sections.
The event is organised annually by Harrogate and Nidderdale Scouts and, despite being held in January, is always popular, with places being booked quickly when details of the camp are released.
Alice Pennock from Harrogate who took part said “We love Chilly Camp, it’s awesome!”
The event went ahead as planned despite difficult winter weather conditions with all taking part having a fantastic time.
