Following the recent investment into Crystal Court Care Home in Pannal, the manager Clare Cowgill has expanded the team by no more than eight new experts.
A new full time administrator will now greet visiting relatives and friends from the main office just off reception. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the administration of the home, Jane Nixson has joined the team bringing with her 20 years experience in the care industry.
The team has also been boosted with a raft of new Registered General Nurses and Registered Mental Nurses including Liz Campbell, Anne Watters, Richard Barratt and Miriam Mofokeng.
The team of carers has been swelled too with the addition of Hannah Hoffman and finally, the kitchen has a new chef; Stephanie Van Der Henst has joined the team as second cook.
Clare explained the sudden growth in the team. She said:
As we have expanded the home, and invested in its fixtures and fittings offering the nicest surroundings, we are also keen to ensure that we give the best care in the area.
We have 54 residents and over 70 staff, with the space for just 8 more residents now the work is complete. The new staff will more than cater for the new residents, although we are always on the look out for reliable recruits and bank staff!
Crystal Court offers a range of elderly support from residential, nursing and dementia care. It is a 62 bed home, that offers a socially stimulating environment.
It boasts excellent socialising and entertainment areas especially the cafe area which offers an ideal place to relax and meet new people while the large lounge areas host a variety of great entertainment.
A dedicated activity team arrange regular activities including arts and crafts, music and movie events and more. Hobbies and interests are also encouraged and supported with onsite amenities such as raised flowerbeds for those keen gardeners.
