Rail got off to a flying start as Jon Maloney opened the scoring with a well hit shot from outside the area on 3 minutes.
This should have spurred Rail on but basement team hit back with an equaliser on 21 minutes when Max Leonard headed in after a cross came in from the right wing. Rail suddenly found themselves behind when substitute Nathan Dwyer found himself free inside the area and his low shot beat Sam Dobbs in goal.
Things went from bad to worse in the second half for Rail as Dwyer added a third on 50 minutes with another low shot inside the area. Rail narrowed the gap on the hour mark when Danny Hull latched onto a through ball and slotted the ball home after the Garforth keeper made a mess of his attempted clearance. Despite late pressure Rail couldn’t find a way through and Garforth hung on to a valuable win.
