The Park has received an increase in enquiries for office space over the last 6 months.

Alan Cryer owner explained:

Business confidence seems to be on the up and we are seeing a rise in businesses which are taking the giant step from home based remote working to joining their team together and renting space. Whilst it may be doom and gloom in the press, there are success stories out there.

Duncan McGilvray from Green Energy Publishing spent almost 12 months looking for the right location.

Duncan McGilvray said:

We were becoming increasingly concerned, it wasn’t easy finding well appointed offices and professional services which would suit our continued expansion.

Oakwood provides the fastest business broadband we have ever experienced, is extremely well appointed with the latest communication technology and has superb state of the art security. The Park will also be able to accommodate any future expansion.

Green Energy Publishing Ltd was formed approximately 3 years ago and has grown rapidly. They produce magazines, websites, website tools and services specific to products in the renewable energy industry.

Another growing firm attracted by the technology was Yorkshire Cloud.

Jonathan Edwards, Director of Yorkshire Cloud explained:

As a cloud computing business it is essential that the internet and telephony services are of the highest standards. Oakwood Park provides us with all of this and is a great base to build our business further.

Yorkshire Cloud is the only company in North Yorkshire to have built their own cloud platform and demand for their product is increasing. Their service gives companies the opportunity to reduce their IT spend and make it much more secure.

Phil Hargreaves Photography previously based in Lancashire, has brought his award winning photography business to Yorkshire and created a state of the art photography studio at Oakwood Park.

Phil said:

I have always loved the Harrogate area, so I couldn’t be more pleased to open my new studio here at such a lovely rural location and it’s just a few miles from Harrogate.

Other new arrivals include a firm of Independent Financial Advisors – Bright Future IFA Ltd who provide tailored consultancy services to individuals, families and businesses. Also Creatus Engineering Consultants who specialise in all aspects of building services engineering.

Mr Cryer is pushing forward with further expansion and has started building work on “The Elms” a new development of ten offices and suites which will be ready in Spring 2013. In addition, plans are being drawn up for a further phase of development which will see the creation of additional office space due for completion in Summer 2013.
