Ghostly goings-on were sighted in Harrogate as witches, goblins and ghosts descended on Valley Gardens for an annual haunting in aid of Henshaws Society for Blind People.

The Halloween Walk, which also featured grisly games and spooky fairy tales inspired by Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts, was supported by performances from Harrogate Youth Theatre. Over £1600 was raised, which will help provide support and services for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.

Katie Piggford, Marketing Manager at Henshaws, said:

Our Halloween Walk provides an ever-popular opportunity for local families to get dressed up, enjoy themselves, and support Henshaws. Despite the rain, Harrogate Youth Theatre’s involvement helped make the event such a success, and we are very appreciative of their support.
