Harrogate High School is running a new project for anyone over the age of 65. Every two weeks between 12:30pm and 3pm you can join their students in playing some board games, have someone to chat too and a chance to meet new people and make some new friends, refreshments will also be provided.
The meetings will take place every two weeks with the first on Friday 16th November, the second on November 30th and then December 14th. Finally, everyone will be invited to the school’s annual Senior Citizens party for Fish and Chips on 19th December. It is anticipated the project will run after the New Year as well.
You will have the chance to work with the school’s young people. The school wants your ideas to how they can welcome you and make you feel most comfortable, so if you have other suggestions let them know. Maybe you would like to learn more about computers?
If you need a lift to the school you can call the local ‘Little Red Bus’ service which provides door-to-door service. The school is also fully wheelchair accessible.
