Harrogate Ladies’ College has enjoyed unprecedented success in the Harrogate and District Area Netball Tournaments. A victory for the U14 and U16 teams has resulted in HLC being the current holders of the U12, U13, U14 and U16 Harrogate and District Titles.
Nicky Butters, Director of P.E. commented:
I am delighted with the success our netball teams have achieved, particularly as netball is not known as our first sport, which is Lacrosse. I’m especially pleased with the recent performances of both the U14 and U16 teams especially the U16’s victory as they are such a young team. Our U14 team now head off to the Malta Rally at half term for some intensive coaching and match play.
The U14’s recently competed against 6 other schools in the area and were unbeaten, scoring a total of 51 goals. The U16’s performance, a week later, was equally impressive with another unbeaten run.
Both teams will now represent Harrogate and District in the County round on 10th November 2012.
