Harrogate police are asking anyone who has had power tools stolen recently, to come forward.
This follows the recovery of a number of tools which were found in a field on Cowthorpe Lane, Kirk Deighton, near Harrogate on Sunday 23 September 2012.
The items include a Bosch drill, a box containing a power saw with blades and a tape measure, Dewalt drills, a Genius box containing tools, a Makita grinder, a Tooltech airtoo and a Makita box containing a hammer drill.
Detective Constable Chris Spackman, of Harrogate CID, said:
If you have been the victim of a theft and have had tools matching the description stolen please contact the police so that we can return them to you.
It may be that the person who left the tools in the field is the legitimate owner and that they were intending to return for them at a later time. If this is the case please get in touch.
